Facts about the Oort Cloud:
1. The Oort Cloud is believed to be a spherical shell surrounding everything in our solar system.
2. The Oort Cloud is believed to begin about 1,000 AU and ends at about 100,000 AU from the sun, according to NASA.
3. The Oort Cloud compromises two regions. There is a spherical shell that is the outer Oort Cloud and a disc-shaped inner cloud called the Hill Clouds.
4. The Oort Cloud got its name after the Dutch Astronomer Jan Oort who predicted its existence in 1950.
