Mars is the 4th planet in the solar system. Mars's revolution period is 687 days, and it's rotation period is 25 hours. Mars has 2 moons, and is classified a terrestrial planet. Mars's weather patterns are similar to Earth's in many ways. Mars also experiences seasons, as well as having two polar ice caps. Though Earth and Mars have many similarities, Mars is significantly different than Earth. Mars is 11% smaller than Earth, and has no water. Mars has no ocean, unlike Earth. Mars's average temperature is -81 degrees Fahrenheit, while it's surface temperature is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Mars is located 1.5 AUs away from the Sun.
