The hot debate with coffee, the same debate all drugs have, is over its effects, which people claimed made it a cure-all, but also claimed that it removed libido, caused impotence, and lead to emaciation. Regardless, about half a millennium of work into weighing pros and cons is pointing us in the direction of the positive, dropping rates of diabetes, Parkinson’s, cancer, and liver cirrhosis.
