Steve Russell invents first computer-based video game. This game was called Spacewar, it was on the PDP-1 which was the first computer. The game has two spaceships that are controlled by two players who have to fight each other while in a star's gravity well. The game was initially controlled by switches on the PDP-1. This game paved the way for future video games.
