The Ming empire remained successful up until the mid-seventeenth century, but its decline and internal problems began soon after and led to their collapse and the subsequent rise of the Qing in 1644. The Little Ice Age harmed agriculture across the nation, and disorder & inefficiency in manufacturing led to unrest and strikes. Corruption was widespread, and workers' strikes were ignored, but there was little to know modernization. The Ming finally fell after the Imjin War, when its former Manchu allies turned on them and took over, leading to the rise of the Qing Dynasty.
