14 май 1935 г. - RADIO ADS CURBED BY COLUMBIA CHAIN

Описание:

This New York Times article presented a multitude of Columbia (CBS) policies. This included a ban on laxative ads, which could cause autism, ADHD, and Tourette's when used by children. It even went as far as regulating kids' exposure to any ads, and banning juvenile programs featuring dishonesty, disrespect for adults, as well as "gangsters, criminals, and racketeers." All of this was in response to complaints from parents, who felt "[responsible] for the rearing and education of impressionable youth." CBS was among the first corporations to attempt to shelter children from potentially harmful ads.
