Roe v. Wade is a supreme court decision that made it illegal to outlaw abortion in any state. It is possibly the most controversial supreme court decision regarding women’s rights in American history. Pro-life advocates say that abortion should be illegal because it is killing a baby, pro-choice advocates say it should be legal because a fetus is not a conscious baby and a woman should have a right to do what she wants with her body. Many think this ruling is in jeopardy with a majority conservative supreme court, but no case has been brought up to challenge it.
