A UN middleman, talked to Israeli politicians about brokering a ceasefire, to which they agreed. However, Anwar Sadat, Egyptian president tells him that Egypt is not prepared to accept the ceasefire. He tells him that the only way that Egypt will accept this ceasefire is if Israel releases their holdings in the Sanai region... however, Israel doesn't think that these are "holdings," rather their own land. Still, USA continues sending arms and aid to Israel.
