Mosiah, under the direction of God, flees from the Land of Nephi with many faithful followers.

The exact date for this is not known. However, we do know the year that his son, King Benjamin, died, and from this and other information given we can estimate when it occurred.
They would have traveled in the wilderness for a number of days before finally discovering Zarahemla and joining with the Mulekites.
