1 ноя 1765 г. - Stamp Act of 1765
Описание:
To help pay for the French and Indian War, British Parliament imposed taxes on the colonists. This came in the form of the Sugar Act of 1764, the Quartering Act of 1765, and most importantly the Stamp Act of 1765. The Stamp Act, which went into effect on November 1, 1765, mandated the use of stamped or embedded paper for all official papers. This act provoked a stronger response than the other acts imposed because it ended up undermining colonial self-rule and create their own government. To fight against the Stamp Act, the colonists caused a trade recession and down-turned the economy.
