Snape pretends to be dead while Harry leaves, then immediately downs several potions he had on his person. They don't heal him completely, but they lessen the worst of the venom's effects. He then apparates away, against it being a bad idea to do so in his delirious state.

Because of this, he splinches his left arm, leaving behind a pinky and a thick strip of skin down to his elbow.
