During the Battle of Plataea, Greece (Athens and Sparta) fought against Persia. Persia and Greece did not want to start the fight because they were both on good defensive territory. Greece started to retreat, forcing Persia to follow them and leave their defensive position. Greece turned around to fight Persia.
