In 2002, the stock market hit lows that had not been seen since 1997 and 1998. The main contributors in these market lows were mainly recovering from 9/11 and the Enron corporate fraud. Also, investors confidence in the stock market was lost. There was about 8 trillion dollars lose in during this crash or what some refer to as a panic. This had an effect on people's lives with raised prices and more concern on where and who to trust with their money.
