Frederick III had urgently requested Peter Martyr to come to Heidelberg as principle of the College of Wisdom. But Martyr declined saying that he was too old to face a new challenge. He suggested a new man to go in his place. This mans name is Zacharias Ursinus, who was only 27 years old. Despite his young age, he was a bright scholar.
