Causes - The U.S. was tired of the British ruling them unfairly. They felt unrepresented and mistreated. Acts such as the stamp act and intolerable acts are examples of unfair taxing.

Historical impact - This was the beginning of the United States as a free country. The historical impact of this war is massive because without it nothing in the country would've never happened and we would've never gained our freedom.
