As of this date the following was the case:
1. Rangers acknowledged without European
revenues they did not have cash to last beyond
September 2011 - the principle behind FFP;
2. There was now a £4.2m liability to HMRC but
Rangers were contemplating appealing the
penalty;
3. HMRC were aggrieved no payment had yet
been made towards the liability and expected
some before the 22 Aug 2011 planned meeting; and
4. A PAYE audit by HMRC had been scheduled.
