Description: The first act was The Boston Port Act that closed the port of Boston until the East India Tea company was repaid for the destroyed tea. The second act was the Massachusetts Government Act that made annually elected counselors and assistants have to be appointed by governors and committees of correspondence were banned. The third act was The Administration of Justice Act that limited the ability for colonial courts to try British officials. The last two acts are The Quartering Act of 1774(similar to the Quartering Act of 1765) and The Quebec Act that enlarged the boundaries of Quebec and passed favorable reforms to attract loyalty from the Catholic French majority.

Causes: These acts were passed by the British Parliament as punishment for the destruction brought by the Boston Tea Party in 1773.

Historical Impact: Growing aggression towards British Parliament from the colonies led to resistance and the creation of the First Continental Congress in 1774.
