Odysseys men are turned into pigs by Circe. Odyssey isn't because Athena told him to eat a herb that would keep him human. After a year Odysseys turns his men back into men and Circe tells him he needs to go to the land of the dead. She also informs him that he needs to listen to the Sirens song.
