Also known as the Vitagraph Company of America, Vitagraph Studios was a U.S. motion picture studio founded by J. Stuart Blackton, William "Pop" Rock, and Albert E. Smith in Brooklyn, New York just before the start of the Silent Era. By 1907, it was the most prolific American film production company, producing many famous silent films.
