BTL: An Association of Professional Camerawomen (1984 - 1996) served a dynamic support group of camerawomen joining together to provide a forum of communication and exchange of information among women and men throughout the industry. Some camerawomen have been reluctant to associate themselves with women's groups, fearful of negative connotations, or because they are "not joiners."

The strength of numbers is what is needed to create significant jobs for camerawomen, and with these jobs, a filmic vision of their own.
