The Plain Wars, also known as the Indian Wars, occurred throughout the course of several years: 1860-1890. Americans tended to blame Indians for the start of this war as they believed their lifestyle was barbarous and savage, while Natives were sick of Americans taking their land (by means of the reservation system) , leading to conflict.
