When Simon meets Ross, Ross describes what would next: “The girl, she figured it out. She was going to take care of it—but the WAU shrieked,” overloading everyone’s black boxes. Raleigh dies still sitting in her power suit.

Dahl mentions in her log that Raleigh Herber has been “asking questions she shouldn’t.” She has heard about Alpha and is going down into the abyss to find it. “I can’t bring myself to stop her.” While making this recording, Dahl’s black box overloads and her head explodes.
