- Rick asks Stevens if he's a prisoner here and if Stevens will stop him from ever leaving. Stevens assures him that he isn't under any orders or the sort, nor would he follow them. He tells Rick that the Governor has two armed guards stationed outside the entrance now.
- One of the arena fighters named Harold Abernathy comes to the infirmary wanting to remove his bandages and plasters so he can look more tough to the crowd. Just then, the other arena fighter, Eugene Cooney bursts in looking for Harold and going on about losing all his front teeth. Harold apologises and tells Eugene that he got carried away. Eugene then stabs Harold in the neck with a buck knife and swiftly leaves.
- Stevens can't stop the bleeding and Harold died from shock and blood loss.
