Abyss-IR and Elluka run into each other. Elluka is attacked, and her body stolen. Because she's so powerful, Elluka simply moves her soul into Gumilia, who flees to Beelzenia.

Because they're so badass, it takes Gumillia about five minutes before they're promoted to the Emperor's personal advisor. Go figure.
