On April 19, 1775 there was a shot that was fired but people refer to it as ¨the shot heard round the world¨ because news traveled fast that the farmers (militiamen) fired at the British troops but no one knows who initially fired first. Lexington and Concord were the sites of were the first battles of the American Revolution. This was the start of the American Revolution.
