Significance- This was the end of an of the rule of Caesar and the last straw of the Republic.

Summary- In 44 BCE Julius Caesar was going to have a meeting with his senators right before he was supposed to leave for battle. When Caesar was walking into the meeting he was surrounded by senators with weapons in hand. The senators were angry at Caesar for his decrees and that they would have to listen to Caesars help/people below him. This is what lead to senators to murder Caesar.
