After Guy was captured, Saladin headed to Jerusalem to take the city - the city surrendered in return for no blood shed and safe passage of all Christian franks to Tyre. After the safe passage was agreed, Saladin rode his army to Tyre to try and crush the last remaining Christian Franks in Palestine. Tyre held out whilst the ARchbishop of Tyre fled for the Vatican, raised the call for the Third Crusade, and more than 30,000 crusaders arrived to save Tyre. The Third Crusade begins here.
