Black Death are plagues that took millions of lives in Europe. Now it is commonly believed that the plagues originated from Mongolians, and were carried to Europe through trades. Jews were falsely blamed for this event. Some Jews were arrested and tortured until they confessed what the inquisitors had wanted. Tortured Jews incriminated other Jews. Jews were slaughtered and burnt on stakes (History; Jewish History Sourcebook).
