The hero is from the Province of Valor gets summoned by the King of Ragni in the province of Wynn. This king had a vision that they will protect Wynn from all the monsters who have been terrorizing Wynn for the past years. The king knows that the elders were outlawed long ago, but he needs an Ender scroll to destroy all the monsters. The king knows that the scroll is the only chance to stop them. The hero accepts the quest with honor. The hero investigates and finds out that an ancient cult called the Mystics are combining some Ender scrolls with ancient magic. They are making the scrolls say new things then they originally said. The mystics made the scrolls open the oblivion portal in the roots and sent monsters all over Tamriel. They try this to kill the existing Empire and rule themselves. The hero tracks the mystics down and try to gain information. the hero destroys many mystic hideouts and discover the secrets of old magic to try and destroy the mystics' plans. It was found out that the mystics use the magic of the land of Wynn from the Godly powers left behind and harnessed it to manipulate the ender scrolls. The hero also finds out there are more mystics in Wynn than originally expected. During the heros destruction of a mystic stronghold, The hero finds an elder trapped in a cage. The Elder explains that the Mystics offered him the chance to overthrow the Empire if he helped them create new scrolls. The Elder thought the idea was horrendous even though he was outlawed by the empire. The mystics decided to capture the elder against his will and extract his godly powers to aid in their scroll making. The Hero frees the Elder and brings him to the King of Ragni for his own protection. Once the hero brought the Elder to Ragni, the King understand and swore to protect him. The Elder gives his best advice andinformation on how to stop the mystics. The mystics try to stop the progress by the hero by sending their ranks of mages and monsters using ender scrolls. The mystics try, in a desperate move, to go to the Imperial city and combine an Ender scroll to make a Giant Zombie. The hero finds out the plan and takes the Elder and the King of Ragni to try and warn the Emperor. The Hero and the King try to explain everything however the Emperor is skeptical. The Emperor is upset that the King would be working with the Elder and imprisons them both. The Emperor tells the hero to go back to valor. On the hero's way back, the city is under assault by the mystics and the Giant zombie. The zombie is tearing through the Imperial soldiers and is heading his way over to the palace. The hero manages to free the Elder and King in the confusion and try to hatch up a plan to save the city. The Zombie breaks through the Palace as the Emperor is there in shock. However the Hero appears and tries to stop the Giant Zombie. The Hero manages to successfully kill the Zombie however the mystic leader is still alive and reads an ender scroll giving him god-like powers. The hero tries to stop them but they are too powerful. The Elder then steps up and sacrifices his powers to destroy the mystic. Now weakened, the Hero defeats the mystic leader. The Emperor surprised praises the hero and mourns the death of the Elder. Th Emperor calls on soldiers to track down the remaining mystics. soon after the Emperor announces that The ban on Elders are to be revoked and the remaining elders are to be protected. The Emperor gives the hero the newly created position of Elder Protector and is tasked with protecting the remaining elders.
