Noah, the son of Lambch, is the tenth generation and the last before the big flood. God told him to bring his family to board a wooden boat to enable them to escape the flood. This event is important because God created the flood to destroy sins. Noah and his family then repopulated the world, which made him a direct ancestor of Abraham (Tanakh; History).
