This case was the consolidation of case relating to the segregation of the public school base on race. In this case African Americans had been denied to go to public school because of segregation. Supreme Court banned segregation in public schools. Supreme Court ruled that “separate educational facilities are inherently equal”. This is first step in equal right and dismantling pos- Civil War Jim Crow laws. Supreme Court got massive resistance in Southern States. Many States defied Supreme Court and refused to intergrate. Courts forced states to comply.
