Form the Committee of Public Safety in order to meet enemies withing and abroad:
eliminate slavery in all French colonies (great impact on slave colony of Haiti)
women can inherit property and divorce but do not gain right in voting or political power
tolerant of other religions but outlawed Christianity as the state religion
they were crazy people who made frequent use of the guillotine
