The September Massacres happened between Sept. 2 to Sept. 6, 1792, this consisted of mass killings of prisoners in Paris. The massacre started the day(s) after the overthrow of the monarchy, the first killings began when a group of prisoners were being transported to Abbaye and they were attacked by an armed band.
