Five days later, the Montreal Canadiens play their first game in the Molson Centre (now named the Bell Centre). They defeated the New York Rangers 4-2 with the first ever goal scored by Vincent Damphousse. This is currently the largest hockey arena in the world with a seating capacity of 21,237.
