1) All matter is made out of indestructible, indivisible particles called atoms
2) All atoms of an element are identical
3) Atoms of different elements have different sizes and masses
4) Compounds are formed by multiple atoms of different elements
5) Chemical reactions are the result of the rearrangement of atoms
