Ronald Bailey is an Libertarian american Science writer for Reason. He supports the idea that Americans do not need to reduce the amount of salt they intake. He cites the journal of hypertension as well as the research done at Boston University. He claims that not only should Americans continue to eat the current average amount of salt, but if they intake the lower salt recommendations made by other organizations, is's detrimental for their health.
