The MQ-1 Predator Drone is a remote controlled military air craft capable of employing weapons and explosives without the need of a pilot. The first deployment was of the U.S. Government, sending drones on a campaign in the Balkans in July to November 1995. This is significant because it was the very first usage of solely computer based weaponry in warfare, shifting how wars were fought and detaching humans from the destruction they caused.
