The first Battle of Kiev occurred in 1941, and the second Battle of Kiev occurred in 1943. The second Battle of Kiev was part of a much bigger Soviet offensive in Ukraine, which was known as the Battle of the Dnieper. In the end the Soviet Union won the fight.
