Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated after first avoiding a bomb on the road but then driving directly into the assassin. His wife and himself were shit in the car and the assassin was immediately arrested. A lot of argument has been made that the driver of the car was a part of the assassin's plan but that is unclear.
