One of the officers found the key, a knife under the bed, and a drawer of Polaroids of Dahmer's victims. The police officer showed them to the other officer but Dahmer saw and fought the officers. They quickly overpowered him, cuffed him, and called for backup. The officers found a severed head in the fridge while they waited.
