Another step has been made within the western part of the globe where they now started using a secondary colour in their printing. Although it was to only highlight a few words this was then experimented with many other colours and in many different designs. This was first printed out by Johann Faust and his son-in-law Peter Schoffer. They also began to print with wood cut illustrations but still coloured in manually which was done by Albrecht Pfiste.
