1773 The 'Boston Tea Party'. The British East India Company sends 3 shiploads of tea to Boston. On 16 December men dressed as Indians board the ship and dump the tea in the sea. The Parliament responded by making the colonies pay for complete disposal of the tea including any extra damages.
