Mayor George Hartwell promotes the concept of "Blue Infrustructure" in a video interview and talks about how the restoration will be great not only for tourism and recreational activities, but it will help increase the desire for development of property, vacant or otherwise, on the water. He also touches on how the city worked very hard to seperate stormwater drainage and sewage systems so they no long back up and flood sewage into the river, which greatly improved the water quality.
