With the last of the Bauxite in Brazil depleting, many Eastern states withdrew their support from the North to get a share of Bauxite before it ran out. States that receded from the North include;
- Bahia
- Tocantins
- Sergipe
- Alagoas
- Pernambuco
- Paraiba
- Piaui
- Maranhao

The far East states refused to join the District of Brazil but were eventual annexed. These annexed states include;
- Rio Grande
- Ceara
