Cotton Mather born in Boston. He graduated
from Harvard at the age of 15 and wrote over 350 books (in seven languages), some of which were never published. He was denounced by some for his part in witchcraft trials. Mather was pastor of the Old North Church from 1685 till his death in 1728.
