The Munich Pact was originally signed on September 30, 1938 and was an agreement to address the future of the Sudetenland as related to the demands of Hitler. It was signed by Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy. The agreement stated that Germany could have control of the Sudetenland provided that he did not make any more territorial advances in Europe, such as invading Czechoslovakia. He agreed to this, but about a year later, he broke the agreement when he invaded Poland. This started WWII.
