Having betrayed the malevolent god Xoth-Nyarl, Krythos finds himself relentlessly hunted by the god's vengeful followers. While on the run, he encounters members of his own race and tries to convert them to his way of thinking. Realizing the futility of his efforts, Krythos and his newfound allies decide to establish a settlement far across the ocean of stars, away from the influence of the vindictive deity.
