Jones has gained popularity within the African American communities and is starting to become more popular with others as well. Johns had differing ideas from the rest of the people in his church (he was a communist) so he decided to start his own organization originally called the Wings of Deliverance. He becomes known for his healings and people started viewing him as a prophet. He has not yet purchased a church to hold these preachings in yet.
