Cloth made of bark is known as Tapas in Polynesia. Made by harvesting bark and pounding it flat into a paper like thing. Sacredly, tapas were used to wrap deities. They were used everyday and on sacred occasions. Stopped being produced in the 90s. They were located in Niue, Micronesia.
