On January 22, 1973 Jane Roe won her case and abortion was legalized in the United States. The stakeholder in this event was Norma McCorvey (also known as Jane Roe). McCorvey fought for the right for women to get abortions legally. She believed at the time that women should be allowed to choose whether they wanted to have the child or not.
